The Cobra 29 LTD Classic can not be internally upgraded due to FCC regulations, but one may upgrade the microphone or add an external speaker.

The microphone can be upgraded to 3 different types of microphones:

Power microphone
Noise canceling/power microphone
Echo/noise canceling microphone

There are 3 types of external speakers that can enhance receiving:

Dynamic external speaker
Noise canceling external speaker
Dynamic noise canceling with talk back external speaker

All these upgrades are available at Cobra's website.

The Cobra 29 LTD Classic is a high end CB radio. This radio offers features that set it apart from other radios such as a built-in SWR meter, Noise limiter, and Delta tune. Although the Cobra 29 LTD Classic was released back in 1999 it is still one of the most popular CB radios, due to its ruggedness, great price, and ease of use.

To identify your radio, look for ''Cobra 29 LTD Classic" printed on the front panel. Be careful not to confuse this radio for the similar Cobra 29 LTDBt or Cobra 29 LTDSe as they are repaired and operated differently.
