My radio turns on but ever time i try to key it, it never read on the meeter or the red light never comes on. It do this every now and then so it works when it wants to i guess. Just would like to fix it since i need it for work. Thanks.
Make sure your radio has a good ground. Preferably chassis. Antenna needs a good ground. Make sure the center plastic grommet is in good shape on antenna that separates the center wire from the outer wire . That would be the main reason why your radio is not getting out.

1) try substituting a different mic or two. The second problem a radio runs into is a broken mic wire down by the plug. The first is an antenna that is not tuned.
2) what is the voltage that is feeding the radio. It should be between 12 and 14 V. If the power is too low for some reason it won’t key-up.
3) ground will be coming from the power wire. Disconnect the coax from the radio to make sure that is the case. Fix the ground wire if necessary. The complaint states that the meter and Tx light are not working. They should work if there was no antenna connected to the radio.

it’s probaly your cobra mic is the pronlem

and you can either use a cobra mic and a uniden mic for your cobra cb.
