As I read more and more on various blogs (iFixit included!), I find myself driven more strongly to advocate repair and refurbishment as being preferable to discarding and replacing our electronics. Every item that we can save by replacing just the faulty components equals resources saved and planetary disposal/reclamation capacity conserved.

"How do you fix the power button on a Motorola Android?"に関する回答HI! It completely depends on the model of phone. I believe that most Motorola smartphones have the power button soldered to the motherboard. You may need to locate a local shop with the ability to microsolder. We offer that service here at BrainWave Cellular and there are a number of other great shops that can help! Can you provide the model number of the device? It should start with XT. Cheers! Joshua
"iPhone 8 screen missing top clips that are on iPhone 7 screens?"に関する回答Hi There! They changed the design between the 7 and the 8. The 8 series no longer has the plastic clips at the top - instead there are two metal “loops” similar to the sides of the display. These are designed to slip into grab points. If they are not slipping into the correct points on the housing, that would make the display likely to fall off. Check to see if the loops are bent over or not aligned properly. Oftentimes when we receive new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus displays these metal loops will be bent. Please see attached the picture below. I have circled the “loops” in green. Please be sure to reach out if you have further questions - there are a ton of people here willing to help! Cheers!
"Will a s6 edge motherboard fit a standard s6?"に関する回答Hi Matt, No it will not fit. Cheers, Joshua
"No backlight after liquid damage"に関する回答Hi Paul, It completely depends on why there is no backlight. There could be residual corrosion that needs to be addressed. It could be that the backlight on the display itself has failed. With liquid damage, I would suspec that the logic board is the issue. It is certainly repairable by a shop with the correct equipment and knowledge. Cheers, Joshua
"iPhone juddery / laggy after screen replacement"に関する回答Hi Ayrix! Replacement part quality is your problem. There are a HUGE number of variations in replacement display quality. The iPhone replacement display assemblies on Amazon tend to be faily low quality. Perhaps a local shop would be willing to sell you a display? Cheers, Joshua
"Replacing A1660 logicboard with an A1778 on an iPhone 7"に関する回答Hi Yannis! Physically, the board will fit fine. Bear in mind however that the models are differentiated primarilly by which modem they use - Qualcomm or Intel. So, it should fit just fine. I would also expect it to work fine, but there may be some performance differences. You’ll also want to be certain that the replacement board comes with its original home button or your Touch ID will not work. Finally, be sure that the replacement board is not iCloud locked or you’ll have a whole new headache. Cheers! Joshua
"do we have driver softhware for this model?"に関する回答Hi Irineo! First - NEVER pay for drivers. Almost every manufacturer has them available for download for free! :) For the drivers you need, click here. Cheers! Joshua
"What is wrong with the spin cycle it makes a loud"に関する回答Hi! It sounds like the bearing for the drum is failing. Either that or there is a drive belt that is slipping. Cheers! Joshua
"Is it possible to replace the glass only?"に関する回答Hi Becky! Your LG K8 has a bonded display assembly. This means that the outer glass, digitizer (touch sensing layer) and LCD are all bonded together with an optically clear adhesive across the entire surface. While it may be *possible* to “just” replace the glass and have a working device at the end, this would not be a lasting repair. I would highly recommend that you pursue the correct display assembly, but bear in mind that you may need some additional tools in order to successfully accomplish this repair. If your model is the 2017 version, then Amazon has it for under $40 here. Cheers! Joshua
"Tablet responds to touch, but screen is black."に関する回答Hi Jon! In your tablet, the picture is made by an LCD or LED and the touch is interpreted by the glass layer over the top of the LCD/LED which is called the digitizer. From the sounds of it, your LCD/LED has failed in some way, but the digitizer continues to function. I would suggest checking eBay for economical parts options. Best, Joshua
