You don’t need to remove the battery from the board…the whole thing comes up as one.
It’s also best to, if you haven’t already, look at your replacement part to get a feeling of how far you can go with the guitar pick or pry tool. It’s around 1/16th of an inch on the sides so you don’t want to go too far in and damage the display
I like the way you think.
Did my first repair two days ago. If you've done any other samsung repairs such as S7 or S7E, this will be cake for you to do. If you have big fingers like I do, the most challenging thing will be the fingerprint scanner flex on the back glass, connecting and reconnecting.
