Amazon fire stick remote not working

Hold down the home button for upwards of 20 consecutive seconds. If it doesn't work, do it again. Try once more in the case that you depressed the button accidentially. If after 1 minute of holding the sync button (as stated in the manual) does not benefit you, politely request your replacement from Amazon. They would not willingly sell you faulty hardware. I would know.

My firestick does not want to work. I tried cleaning the battery area and putting new batteries in.  Only way  the screen comes up is if I unplug the firestick and it comes up but I can not maneuver around screen,  the screen is just frozen. I can’t even re-set the remote.  I have another firestick in  a different room and it works fine. I brought both of them at the same time about a year ago.

You can reset Amazon Fire Stick remote in two ways. You can use your TV or your remote for this job.

To reset by a TV, all you have to do is switch on your Fire TV stick connected to your TV and go to my Fire TV there, you will find an option called “Reset to Factory Defaults“. Click on it.

To reset your fire the more you have to long-press the right and back button keys off your remote at the same time for 10 seconds. This will start the initiation process. Follow the instructions on the screen.

I experienced this same problem. The update to my remote didn't work, and then it began lagging. To fix the issue, I contacted Amazon customer support for help, and we tried finding different solutions for several hours before finally find out that the remote has connectivity issue. Thankfully I had a friend who knew what to do he suggest me this good online guide. since he had the fix his issue with it.
