Could be a battery problem. Did you check the battery? What is the battery voltage? Is it bulgy? How about the battery connector? Are the solder joints still good?

Hi, just got a JBL charge 3 which is more or less dead. It can be turned on and off, but nothing more happens. Means you press the ON butten and the LED will light up and then press the ON button again and the LED will go off.

There is no sound, it cannot be charged and it does not appear as a Bluetooth device in the smartphone or PC. I disassembled everything, and charged the battery externally with a LiFePo charger.

I also tried to reset it, but it does not work.

I could not identify anything obviously wrong with any of the components. I do suspect the mainboard has a problem. Maybe it could be fixed with a firmware update. However, the easy way via bluetooth does not work, because I cannot establish a connection. I suspect, a firmware update via USB would work, but I did not find a manual on how this could be done.

Tips and suggestions are welcome.
