My name is Jordan Couto. I am a freshman at the University of Rhode Island majoring in computer science. I chose this major because I enjoy programming and learning about technology. Over the past 5 years I’ve been able to learn programming languages such as C, C++, python, Java, and JavaScript. Business and management is also an interest of mine. I have been fortunate enough to be able to start, manage, and play a new sport at URI- the roller hockey team. This experience has allowed me to practice very important skills since I am responsible for the club financials, scheduling, recruiting, and management in general. In my free time I also enjoy lifting, working on my car, and finding ways to make money through side gigs like repairing and reselling items from local marketplaces.
