The folder means that it is not finding your OS or hard drive. Did you install OSX on there before you installed the drive into the computer? If not, I believe that your computer’s highest compatible OS is Sierra. My response to your comment: Sierra will still work on the Samsung Drive. You could always try cleaning the phone circuits and connectors yourself with 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol and an antistatic brush (or a tooth brush if you have nothing else). Do not do this if you are not comfortable disassembling AND reassembling the entire phone. Either way, fix it or get it fixed soon. The longer water sits inside a phone, the more corrosion builds up. Anyways now if you still feel comfortable doing it try this! Look for green corroded solder joints and scrub that junk down with alcohol! The blade SSD is going to be the fastest drive in the computer. They are faster because they don’t have a length of cable to run. Unlike the 2.5 SATA III SSD’s, the Blade drive is in a socket that is directly on the board. Keep this one and put your OS and applications on it for the highest performance. The HDD is only for storage, your operating system does not live on here. Granted it is not as fast, the HDD is the cheapest way to store large amounts of data. But since you have your OS on a blade drive, you will not see any performance increase in operation of your computer. The only advantage of having an SSD for storage in place of an HDD for storage would be that you can save and transfer documents between the OS and storage drives much quicker. But you need to decide if that is worth paying 2X the cost of an HDD. I say its not really that important if your OS is already on a Blade drive.

Those prongs don’t look terribly low but its still pretty hard to tell. If the button is brand new (theoretically not defective but you never know) and the contacts work when activated manually, it sounds like the screen may be having a hard time seating properly. Is the frame bent at all? Are there any dings in the corners or sides? These are things that can cause the prongs to not seat far enough, or even seat off center. Make sure the screen is going all the way down.

Dylan, I’ve done this repair 3 or 4 times now - and with those symptoms - it is most likely your power supply. It COULD be the logic board, but I have yet to see that happen. Any time your computer (or any appliance or amp) is not powering on, you should at least SUSPECT the PSU.
