Has any body found the reason for this error im trying to find the service manual to effect a fix on what was a great printer

this printer stopped working after changing toner cartridges but still draws the paper threw the printer as normal

IT does sound like a sick inverter its worth casting an eye over the board for poor solder joints or connectors not seated properly portable devices are always getting dropped .

One system that might be worth trying is printer cleaning sheets they are available .Sometimes you fine a sheet in with photo graphic paper .

having had various experiences from refilling cartridges ive learnt some valuable lessons 1 is not to leave a cartridge empty for to long the other is that ive found that you need to make sure the ink your using is compatible with your printer. remember if you going to try and refill your cartridge disposable gloves are a must and disposable kitchen towel don't over fill your cartridge and once installed back in the printer get it to do a head clean and print a test page you may need to do this several times but once the ink is flowing all will be well . So give it a go then you can post if it has worked or not .

May be your best solution is to return your machine to its original sate and then confirm that its still operational then if all is ok suspect the upgrade maybe a mistake on your part or the upgrade !.

a good place to start is the home page for the device in question if your able to find the exact driver wahoooooo install reboot and all should be well. if your manufacture doesn't give out drivers down load a utility to give you exact system information i use Everest only because its free this program will identify the make and model of the hardware within your lap top with this info you can then go and search out the driver on the net i hope this helps
