It sounds like the install was not done correctly; ie maybe something wasn't plugged in right. Or it could be a defective part. I would open it back up and double check to make sure it is hooked up correctly. Good Luck on your repair!

The error you mentioned above can often occur due to various reasons but one solution is to remove the current OS and by auto loading the OS again on the device. Download the autoloader for your device from here http://developer.blackberry.com/ And follow the steps below:- 1-turn off your device 2-connect your device to pc The downloaded autoloader must be present on your pc and installed or unzipped 3-now run the autoloader and turn on your device. Once autoloader recognizes your device it will start loading OS on it again after its finished green LED will light up. After its finished your phone will restart give it sometime and all done. Hello! It sounds like 1 of 2 things based upon the limited information I have. Either the LCD screen is defective or it was not installed properly. You can buy another screen and test that theory or double check your installation. Without seeing the device it is hard to determine.

It sounds like you have affected your LCD somehow. Without having the device in front of me to fully diagnose I would have to infer that you need a new screen or a component might need to be adjusted/ replaced for it to function properly. Your best bet is to find a local repair place in your area for a full diagnostic.

Due to the age of this device repair of it would out weigh the benefits of just investing into a new device. Unless you are extremely attached to this device I would suggest buying a new one! Good luck!

It sounds like you "shocked" your phone. You could've blown numerous components when you had it on. Unless you have a Oscilloscoop handy, runs around $400-$1000, then I would say your phone is done. Data recovery might be possible if you can figure out what components you blew and replace them. Good luck!
