Background and Identification
The Nest Cam is a home security system that provides 24/7 surveillance in all color and digital zoom, all through the Nest Cam's user friendly phone app. The Nest Cam is identifiable by its minimalist design in discreet black that streams surveillance continuously in 1080p and includes night vision capabilities. Nest Cam has a speaker and microphone allowing users to speak and listen to things happening in their home.
Previously known by the name Dropcam, Nest Labs purchased the rights in 2014 and produced the improved product, Nest Cam.
