I've encountered a similar issue, though mine seems a bit different. After being satisfied with my repair for over two months, I was greeted this morning by a white horizontal bar on the screen.
First, I made sure it wasn't software-related by restarting the device and taking a screenshot. Unfortunately, the problem persisted.
Given the following, I assume it must be a faulty panel:
- I used an ESD table and grounded myself during the repair (yes, I am vocationally trained in electronics and have that stuff at home).
- I made sure no pins were bent or protruding during assembly.
- The display had been working perfectly for more than two months, and then suddenly, this issue appeared.
- There was no physical damage to the phone, and nothing unusual happened while it developed that bar (it was just lying on the desk and charging overnight)
I will contact support now and provide an update as soon as I have more information...
UPDATE 09.11.2024:
After contacting support with a detailed document outlining the issue, they offered a replacement and requested that I return the defective part for analysis. The replacement arrived promptly, within about three days.
The following weekend, I replaced the screen, and since then, my phone has been functioning perfectly.
As for the cause, I am unable to provide any new insights. The defective part showed no obvious issues when examined from the backside. In case their investigation yields new findings and they share them with me, I will update this post.
To be honest, I was afraid of facing a complicated and lengthy process. For this reason, I want to emphasize how much I appreciate the efficient and professional handling by the customer service (especially EU Store's) .
