I think you'll need to clarify what your system has or doesn't have. Did you buy this as a used system?

You state 'no drive' so you can't boot your system which would be expected. You should see a blinking question mark in a folder icon on your screen.

If you can't get that then you need to see if the system even has RAM at least one memory module.

If it does then your logic board is having problems.
