Sadly surge suppressors can only go so far. You do need to make sure you don't over stretch the suppressor beyond what it can support. Basically, one system, display and a few low power devices thats it. Use a different suppressor for anything else. Even then the suppressor also wears overtime it clamps on a voltage spike. So if you get a lot of power problems you'll likely need to replace it frequently.
