"Can't install 16GB of ram"に関する回答Hopefully the following will help: (1) Make sure the RAM sticks are seated properly. (2) ✅ You have Lion 10.7.5 or later already installed (3) Double check you have the latest EFI update which is version 2.1. If you don’t download it here: (4) https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1480?loca... (5) After all the above ask for an exchange or refund for your RAM. Buy RAM from iFixit store or OWC and try again. You could just have gotten bad sticks. I know you only got one beep so it’s unlikely but not impossible. It actually happens more often than you would think. Let us know how it goes.

"Possible GPU upgrade for Catalina (Bug Surr)"に関する回答You can upgrade the GPU to a AMD Radeon HD 6770M from your 6750M graphics processor. Not sure if it’s worth the trouble to upgrade since they both have 512MB of RAM. You could technically upgrade to a AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 2GB of RAM from the 27inch iMac of the same year, but I don't think it would fit, would likely cause overheating, and you’d need to make the firmware work.

"Help needed removing stripped screw."に関する回答Use a rubber band between the screw and screwdriver bit. Most of the time it will give you enough grip to pull out the screw or at the very least get it loosened. Use a screwdriver bit one size up from the actual head of the screw when using this technique. Don’t be shy in applying force on the screw while you slowly turn to the left. How does this work you may ask? The rubber band fills in the backs of the screw head. So don't use a super thick rubber band but don’t use one that’s almost invisible either.

"Won't sleep when lid is closed"に関する回答(1) Have you tried going to system preferences to check your energy saver settings? (the lightbulb icon). Make sure it’s not set to never sleep. Go to Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Energy Saver. Make sure Never Sleep is not selected. (1) Go to the Activity Monitor app and see what apps, if any need your Mac to be awake. If ”Yes” appears in the Preventing Sleep column for an app, your MacBook won't automatically sleep while an app is running. Apps can also prevent sleep when doing certain tasks like downloading files.

"Where to buy motherboard for SG S20 Plus?"に関する回答Based on the price, I think your better off buying another S20. If you want to try micro soldering for fun, you might e able to fix it. Here is the link to buy one if you need that phone restored: https://www.ebay.com/i/202996426754?chn=... Or you can buy another S20 and take that motherboard into your current phone.

"SSD Blade & 2.5" SSD Upgrade Question"に関する回答For your question: What I am curious to know is if there is room inside to install a 2.5” SSD drive ? Your iMac had to come with either a fusion drive or a HDD from the factory to have both the SSD blade and the 2.5” SSD drive. If it only came with an SSD, it’s not reasonably possible unfortunately to add the 2.5” SSD. In the end I always say everything is possible, but I think it’s more than a bracket that you would need. So for 99% of folks, including the ones on iFixit, it’s not possible. I always buy iMac’s with a fusion drive and then I can add whatever I want later.

"Get iCloud address on iOS"に関する回答If the iPhone is a trusted device on your Mac or PC, it’s possible iTunes could work to back up. Then you can restore the backup to another iPhone. This is a big maybe as it all depends if iTunes will ask you to enter a passcode on the phone. If you’ve never connected that iPhone to your computer before, it’s not going to work. You need a display. However if you don’t know the password to the iPhone and / or the iCloud account, it’s not going to work assuming it’s a hand me down phone and not originally your phone.

"It no longer connects to any computer"に関する回答It’s always best to clean a keyboard with a microfiber cloth and spray a solution onto the microfiber cloth and not directly on the keyboard. It’s best to use a cleaning product made for electronic components to clean your devices. There is not too much context in your question, so could it possibly be that you sprayed the keyboard directly with the cleaning solution? If so this could possibly be the problem. It’s possible you’ve cleaned the keyboard the same way before, but eventually this could cause liquid damage.

"Where to buy cheap iPhones from"に関する回答Put an ad on Craigslist that as someone who buys phones for cash. Of course don’t be surprised that you are one of 200 others doing the same thing. You can also do a Facebook ad campaign, just make sure to target your ad appropriately. Usually places like eBay don't work because people who sell their phone that way expect to get a higher price. You can also peer through twitter and look for keywords that could come up in a tweet that will let you know when a conversation with someone’s followers might pivot into an acquisition opportunity for you. You can even narrow it down by zip code. Now, this is a way to get phones inexpensively. At least for less then buying broken phones on eBay, however, don’t expect to do it for cheap. No such thing as a cheap iPhone for you to practice on. Of course it depends where you live. We don’t know if you live in the country or in NYC. You’re more likely to get phones cheaper from Muscle Shoals, Alabama than from a metropolitan city. If you want to just buy phones to...

"iMac Shuts Down after First Chime & Apple Logo appears"に関する回答Britt, Seems like you're doing all the right things. Since I don’t know your background I’m going to take a very high risk of mentioning something you already know. Please don't be offended if you have already tried the following: I’m assuming you have attempted to log in using Safe Mode. Have you tried holding down the “C” key when your going to Startup Manager? This will tell the Mac you want to boot from the USB without having to select it in Startup Manager. I doubt this will help as I’m gonna assume it’s still going to shut down. Have you tried holding down the “D” key so you can attempt to run some diagnostics? What about ⌘V for Verbose Mode? You can probably skip Single Use Mode. If after all this your computer keeps shutting down, it could very well be the power supply as you originally suspected, if it’s happening shortly after boot up. If you have a Multimeter you can diagnose the Power Supply and see. If you’ve never worked with power supplies before, they can cause death if just touch it the...

Dr. Gallo is spot on. I actually just peeled 5, 3, 1, and 2 at the same time. So much easier. I can’t even wrap my head around how 1 and 2 can come before 3 and 5. So, just do 5&3 and then 1&2 or do all four simultaneously. Just make sure not to skip steps 19 and 20.
If you're replacing the display, don’t forget to take out the pink film protecting the camera opening. I did, and I came out pink. I had to this all over again since I missed the pink film.
If this happened to you, and you don’t want to redo or just waiting for new adhesive strips to come to your mailbox, try using a CTO blue gel flash filter to counteract and balance the color, which actually worked great for me, unless you want to use a green screen, which I did, then CTO filters won’t work.
This step might be easier if you do the next step first (step 41) and then come back to this step.
The tab is on the bottom of the connector. You can’t see it. Squeeze the bottom of the connector close to the cables to properly release tab. Pulling straight out is important.
I highly recommend doing steps 27 and 28 first and then pull out the cable. It will give you more room on the right side of the cable to work with making this step that much easier.
This is where you would use the opening tool. It’s the perfect tool to lift the rubber base around the metal lip and then pull with your fingers.
I have found it easier to lift from the side with the Ethernet ports. When putting back together watch that the three WI-FI antennas don’t get snagged against the case as your putting back.
