Greetings! My name is Andy Su and I am a Computer Science Undergraduate student at Cal State LA, pursuing a future career in web development.

Since a very young age, I've always been surrounded in electronics and have always been fascinated with how things work. Growing up with a TV technician as a father exposed me to a great deal of technology throughout my entire life. I fondly remember taking apart and putting things back together during my youth, picking up my first soldering iron when I was barely 12 years old.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been tech-savvy, and by extension, great with computers. I built my first computer when I was 15, and have been fixing and replacing parts up to this day. Because of this, I am excited to share to the iFixit community what I know.

This innate understanding of technology also extends to the electronics I frequently depend on everyday, but there are still a lot of things I do not know, and so I'm excited to branch out and see what else iFixit can teach me!

‎As a tinkerer, I also have high degree of understanding in 3D printing, and am a firm believer in the right-to-repair. I've modified, repaired, upgraded many parts of my 3D printer throughout the years, and have used the same machine to fix and repair other electronics and furniture around the house.

I've always enjoyed the prospect of building things, and that is no different for me with web development. My goal is to be able to build things that can help improve the lives of people around the world through awesome software. Ultimately, I would love to combine my experiences and knowledge to further iFixit's missions and help reduce e-waste around the globe.

• Formula-Elastic @ ArtCenter 2019
  • Our team competed with ArtCenter graduate students in a variety of racing events with uniquely designed remote controlled race vehicles propelled by energy stored in 16 feet rubber bands.
  • We took home an industry award for innovation and placed first place in one of the races.
