続きを読むIt might help to post the old and new p/n, and also what "power IC" you are talking about. Maybe even what page of the manual it is on. I just downloaded the manual and it is huge. A thermal camera would be a useful tool here to see what is overheating. A blown device might indicate it had some external help blowing out, or not. That cause may still be present, or it may be the part substitution doesn't work.
続きを読むYour observation is good. Expanding capacitors would be a very likely cause. It is an all to common problem. The voltage to your backlights is going on/off and those caps will cause if they are in that circuit. They can also cause it if they are in another circuit.
続きを読むSince you replaced the battery prior to this issue, I would start by reviewing your work. It is possible you did not get the battery connector or other connector properly seated. If it really isn't charging, then it is more likely the battery connector or a connector from the USB port if it is not integral with a PCB. If it is charging, then maybe another connector.
続きを読むFirst, you must find the wires from the thermo to the pcb. Shorting out the thermo, might cause the PCB to shut down (if it were smart). But what does it do that leads you to believe it might be the thermo? How long between days of operation? What happens during its down time? Does it make any strange noises? Does anything work during its downtime?
続きを読むSounds like the fix may be more than it is worth. If you are handy, you could probably do the screen replacement, but you need to figure out the port problem first. If that involves replacing an internal component, it might be $ or $$$. Water can cause corrosion on a PCB or just on your charging connector. So, there is no telling what that issue is.

there is double face tape at each end of the chromed plastic piece along with the tabs that need to be unhooked when prying off. So be tender and do not use brute force. Also, the clear plastic piece will likely just fall out so be aware.
You must use a very small blade Phillips screwdriver. A #0 will be too big. Significant downward pressure is also needed to break the screw loose and prevent stripping the screw. It feels like they are glued in. The battery is available in many places and is a 14500 type rated at 750mAh with a 4mm tab on the positive side and a 2.5mm tab on the negative side.
