You probably need to try a different SD card. I Typically use PNY Elite - X Class 10 or Lexar Professional 1667x UHS-II SD not Micro SD. They work great. I’ve had trouble with a few other brands and have never used a micro but I’ve successfully built 24 brand new iPod 6th and 7th gens w/128GB SD coupled with the iFlash Solo and swapped another 20+ so these are my go to. I pick whichever is the cheaper at the time.

Will, Try to reset it by holding the home button and stop hold button down at the same time for 10 seconds or so. It should power up.

If you tried a hard reset and that did not work (pressing both the stop/hold and home buttons) you will need to drain the battery until it is dead and then charge it again. That will reset it. If you have not stuck the front panel down in the adhesive take a small resistor and put it between the positive and negative terminals on the battery. If you have stuck it in adhesive just keep powering it up to the white screen every time you think about it and eventually it will go dead. When it does not respond anymore charge it and cross our fingers but it should work after it gets enough of a charge. Good luck and let us know how you do!

The LCD is the plug on the top of the logic board and your display will only work if that is plugged in. It sounds like you didn't get the digitizer plug snapped down all the way or correctly. Try again carefully to lift the board out and plug in the underside. Use the foam pad form the bottom of the old digi and the copper shield tape also. Good luck and let us know how you did!

Power it off and use needle point tweezers that can be found on line or at the local drug store. Use a light and a magnifier to be sure you got it all out, power it back up and try it out. Good luck!

panjiiriawan, First off I want to say this is a best guess answer on my part but I have seen this on a macbook pro. The battery percentage is estimated and fluctuates with what is running in the back and foreground including the wifi, the backlight for the lcd, the lcd itself etc. It is not uncommon for it to do exactly what you are describing granted that there are always programs running in the background. I wouldn't worry about it. Wear down the battery below 20% and then fully charge the iPod once a month best using a wall charger overnight. Keep an eye on how long it lasts and when you start noticing it having to be charged often without much use it is time to replace the battery. Hope that helps give you peace of mind!

Savannah, You will need to purchase a mid frame gasket bezel and an adhesive pack for your iPod. The home button gets installed between the digitizer glass and the metal plate with the home button switch/ribbon cable. You can carefully remove the ribbon cable and install it aligning the holes in the ribbon with the holes in the metal plate. Peel the clear/brown capton tape carefully as you will re-use it and use an exacto knife or razor and carefully slide it under the ribbon, avoid cutting the cable itself rather slide it under to free the cable and button. There should be enough adhesive left on it to stick it in place and then re-use the capton tape to secure it in place. Then install the adhesive pack to the fram and peel the top layer of paper off of the 2 sided tape. Align your new digitizer glass with the home button in place under it. (This takes some patience) Pull the digi ribbon through the frame and stick the glass down. Peel the protective plastick off from the underneath of the digi glass and...

Steve, Was the iPod fully charged before you began? Did you power it off prior to removing the old glass? Did you take steps to discharge static like wearing a wristband that is grounded? All of these things are important steps in the process. Also it sounds like you don't have a good charge. Try these steps, let us know if it works and good luck! 1. Plug into a wall charger overnight. 2. Try powering it up by holding the top button for +/- 5-10 seconds. If no response hold the home button and the top power button at the same time until you see the apple logo.

Niko, First off how long have you had it? I would try taking it to Apple regardless. I know several people that took in broken screens etc. that were out of warranty and the Apple store replaced them no problem! If not you need to carefully disassemble it. In order to fix it you have to take it all the way apart which usually means you will have to replace the front panel assy. Follow the teardown guide here: iPod Touch 4th Generation Teardown Step 23 shows the button top right. there are 2 screws holding it in place and secured with blue loctite thread sealant. See if these are loose and get them tight. If they are not you have a different problem.
