you haven't mentioned the phone type and model . if its a removable , try to use another and see if makes a difference . if not , try to do more research on background running softwares and apps that use a significant amount of batter to function. new phones got the ability show you the batt usage by the app type and name . good luck! this is a simple prob to fix .
