Hi everyone, OP here. Unfortunately, I could not find any local repair shop with an Lcd to test out. I opted not to order an Lcd primarily because I noticed damage on the fpc connector(bottom right pins looked burned) , there was power issues (over heating & current draw was never below 600ma - system panel 2 told me about 2/3 of the battery usage was unaccounted for), when using the dac the sound was heavily distorted and popping, and the phone hard crashed when it entered deep sleep mode… Haha yep figured the Lcd was not the only issue… could be, but didn't want to risk ordering.. Thought about trying my hand at SMD and replacing the fpc… pretty sure it's just the 54 pin used in other lg phones? Ultimately just bought a cheap huawei… Miss the LG v20 - packed with awesome features(ir blaster, dac, replaceable battery, camera), but man I don't miss the poor battery life - the cheap huawei’s 11hr Sot is awesome compared my LG v20 5-6 hrs.
