続きを読むWhat’s still stuck to the engine? Getting a glow plug from a diesel engine is not trivial (not that removing a spark plug is…) but glow plugs are smaller and you’ll either have to break down the engine and have the head sent out for a shop to remove that clump of metal from it or you’ll have to have a very steady hand to drill threads into the inside in order to create a base to secure a bolt head to unscrew the hole thing out. It is _not_ a simple task.
続きを読むWhen was the last routine clean your performed? Coffee machines have intricate filter systems that will, over time, clog, with residues. Start by clearing the spout. I'd advise a needle instead of the paper clip because it has a finer and sharper tip and the steel is a lot more sturdy to perform this kind of operations. Be very careful to not force anything. A clog will easily dislodge with no need for force. Next do a full system clean. Fill the tank with a mix of clean water and vinegar and run the system without coffee, to clear out possible incrustations it may have on the tubing. If this is not enough or you really want to be thorough with your cleaning, after running a full reservoir of vinegar and water, fill the tank up to half with hydrogen peroxide and let the machine run. It will stink! After this, run the machine again with a little water and vinegar to flush out any residues and after that run a couple of cycles with just water. You may want to use coffee one or two times to make a final purge...
続きを読むWas it only the key covers that suffered damage or was the key itself that was damaged? The key cover should not affect its working. If you are saying the keys are not responding, then you have a faulty key. The key cover, hinge and under cap are mechanical parts; you can press on a key cap with your finger and it will respond. Keyboards, be it laptop or any other kind of physical keyboard, are a single entire part that requires replacement in order to repair even if only an individual key. All keys are set on a circuit membrane that transmits the key pressing signal to the logic board that in turn translates it into machine code. Apple products are by definition extremely hard to repair on your own, because of its design and several security features put in place in order to make harder for tampering to go unnoticed. I understand it is a nuisance for you to be without a working machine for so long but as previously suggested, you can inquire if a temporary replacement can be loaned to you for the repair...
続きを読むOn this webpage you will find a list of beep codes for most motherboard BIOS. Find the provider of your BIOS and check the diagnostics for each different beeping signal. From that point on, if you report back, someone will be able to help further.
続きを読むIs this something that only happens at your place or will the machine randomly lock the WiFi card? If the last is true, you may have a faulty WiFi card. Can you access the internet through a wired connection?
続きを読むWow... That's a real pain. First things first: originally, from where did the computer came? You are describing a BIOS lock out feature that most people don't use, unless when dealing with highly sensitive information contained within. Or suffering from a serious case of paranoia. BIOS lock out function is put in place to assure that, in the case of a computer is stolen, no one can access the machine. And I seriously doubt that removing the CMOS battery will do any good. Removing the battery, specially when considering these very small machines, involves taking apart the whole thing to reach it. Here is a video for the process, if you feel brave enough for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lyKE7No... Another option is to try to force the machine to give you a backdoor password. 1) Start by removing the battery and connect the computer directly to the power source. 2) When the computer prompts for the password, take a few guesses. At some point, it will give a message of "System Disabled" and a code,...
続きを読むLet's go by the numbers, so to speak: 1) does the motherboard feed pilot LED comes on when you connect the PSU to a power socket? If so, power still goes in the motherboard. 2) most modern motherboards have built in safeguards. Your motherboard being ready for overclocking is even more likely to have it. Your PSU is still salvageable , the CPU and HDD most probably are too; if you have an SSD, the risk it may have got corrupted or even burn goes a bit higher. RAM is a bit of a hard thing to put a finger on. It may be the case the sockets went bust but the chips itself are functional; test it in another machine if you can. 3) your machine not booting may be caused by having the USB socket shorted. I once had a case of a desktop that would not boot because of a mouse that shorted the USB where it was connected (although not with a as dramatic outcome as yours) and the solution for the problem was to simply replace the mouse. So, yes, your machine may appear dead because there is a safeguard in place...
