I want to thank everybody for your help! I finally talk to Microsoft and Monday they are going to call me and wave the fee and send the drivers to this computer so I can transfer them over to fix it. I just want too warn people talk too Microsoft before you upgrade to windows 8 or 10, they make you purchase those drivers after you download the new operating system. That is what the tech told me from Microsoft just make sure before you purchase an upgrade, so you do not go through what I had too. Thanks to everybody, you tried and you help a lot. I need too check on somethings first, I do believe that they did away with the transmission dip stick in that year. The dealerships have the dipstick as a tool. I made one so that the guys the install the transmission can use it. We have a trick for doing it without it. I need too know if you can pop the hood and look down at the top of the transmission and see if there is a yellow cap you can unscrew? I will get my computer out tomorrow and pull up the information for you. But check that for me if you can. Thanks, TJ

Unhook the NEGATIVE side of battery and put a test light between the batt and cable on the negative side if it lights up you have a draw on the system. On the motor home they make trickle chargers to hook up why you are not using it. On the first if you do find a draw usually it is a bad overhead light. if not unplug fuses till it goes out and then you know what system is drawing the battery down.

Most of the time they are just full of dirt, if you clean it and it still dose not seem too work, hit e-bay fan assembly are cheap and all the info you need too change it your self are on this site.

What do you mean by not shifting into reverse? Is the linkage moving it into reverse but veh dose not move? When it comes to a 700r4 and even the fully electronic 4L600-E , it works the same, another words when you shift into rev or forward at a dead stop from park it is completely controlled by the manual valve and is completely hydraulic. Now basically reverse and third gear are basically the same elements is the trans making the same gear. Reverse and third are 1 to1 . direct drive. So usually if you have no manual reverse that is usually the sun shell is broken. But then it will move in forward gears until it shifts to 3 rd then nothing. If it wouldn't move forward or reverse, that would lead me to believe the convertor spline stripped. In 82 they had a 28 spline converter shaft aand the broke all the time. that is why they went to the 31 spline.

There is two different temp sensors, one runs the gauge or dash light. The other one is how the engine controller receives its info. It will throw the fuel trim of so bad the car will run like crap and dump a lot of gas. My name is TJ
