Situations where your Chromebook is unable to display wireless settings or is experiencing dropped connections, is commonly a sign that your Wi-Fi card in the device is faulty and needs to be replaced. This guide will walk you through replacing the Wi-Fi card in your Acer Chromebook 15 CB3-532-C6T1.

Prior to beginning the repair, be sure your Chromebook is powered off and is not plugged into the wall charger.

Place the device on a flat surface with the bottom facing upwards.

Unscrew the eighteen 6 mm screws from bottom of the device using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

With the plastic opening tool, pry along the edges of the bottom slowly to separate the back cover.
Be careful not to damage or crack the back cover of the device.

Carefully remove the back cover.

Locate the Wi-Fi card. It will be white chip beside the motherboard.
Remove the 3 mm screw holding the Wi-Fi card in place using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Gently grab the edges of the Wi-Fi card and pull it out from the motherboard.
Carefully remove the two coaxial antenna cables that attach the Wi-Fi card to the motherboard. One is black and the other is white.
Have your new replacement Wi-Fi card ready to place back in the slot.
