Hi @mnron,
-Does the TV indicate that other WiFi networks are available? If none at all it may be an antenna problem in the TV and perhaps because the signal level is too low it won't try to connect and turns off the WiFi. This is only a guess though. Other networks would have a weaker signal than your local home network but may still show up on the TV if they're considered strong enough. Just that you can't connect because you wouldn't know the password for them

+If you have a laptop/phone etc, turn on its WiFi and then hold it close to the TV i.e. <15cm and check if it is detected. Just what I'd try.
You can try replacing the module and at least you will know whether it now works OK or if the problem is still there.
Here's the page in the [link|https://www.manualslib.com/manual/3318863/Sony-Xbr-43x800g.html?page=24#manual|service manual] showing the location of the WLAN/BT module.
The module part number is [link|https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=1-458-998-12|1-458-998-12] (supplier examples only). Ensure that any replacement module has the same board number and revision number (if any), as the original just in case there are differences between boards. Although boards with a higher revision number would be OK as usually it means that they've been updated for a reason. Boards having a different board number unless guaranteed that they're compatible, is a different matter.
The TV disassembly procedure starts on p.5 of the manual.

Hi @mnron,
-Don't know if replacing the WLAN/BT module will resolve the problem or not.
