There must be another reason for being disconnected from AT&T as the make and model of the phone shouldn't be an issue?
If the phone is unlocked, it should work with any mobile service phone provider that you choose.

If the phone is locked to AT&T then it will need to be unlocked to be able to work with another carrier. Although if it were locked then that means that they would have supported it and therefore the make and model wouldn't be a reason to disconnect you.
