The screen starts to 'gray out' usually in one corner of the screen. Then a sticky goop starts coming out of the monitor. The computer is still usable during this period, but you lose more and more screen area until the device becomes unusable.
I was very excited to buy this Pixel. I like to buy high-end and then keep a device for a long time. Unfortunately, Google has a poor track record with its hardware. And the fact that they EOL chromebook devices prematurely is the last straw. I used to suggest chromebooks to non power users. But I don't anymore because of the EOL issue.[br]

Since my Pixel is near death anyway, I'm going to attempt my first such repair on this thing and try installing Ubuntu. We'll see.[br]
