Did you figure this out. it loads the discs makes an ejection sound but doesn’t eject unless you hit eject. It won’t play dvds or bluray. I’ve done full system restore, database restore, safe mode and taken it apart several times and cleaned it and checked that everything is connected

Does it sound like I need a new disc drive?
