The copper color looking borders on the digitizer are there to stop interference with the chassis which can result in decreased touch sensitivity if not present.

I couldn’t really tell the difference between the silver and copper style digitizers they worked pretty much the same. The copper ones I believe are either OEM or close to OEM quality.
