I had the same issue, and tried to solder it. The first day, it worked fine, but I only had a cross sign on my battery, as if it was not recognizing it properly. It could be run by battery though (!? strange). The second day, it would not even turn on. I think the logic board is gone! Is there an easy fix that I can try or should I say goodbye to the old friend?
