The screen on my Droid Turbo has also just broken, I know that the lcd screen and touch digitizer are both intact however.

I am curious to know what the exact procedure is for replacing the screen, as I haven't found anything specific online. I happen to already own replacement glass and a heat gun, what else might I need?

I would go as far as to say that I'm already technically proficient and am also willing to risk bricking the phone. Thanks,
