There are a few reasons pictures may not transfer to your computer. If you are trying to transfer the photos by directly plugging in the SD card, two possible reasons are

* The SD card is not inserted properly in the SD card slot on your computer
* The SD card contacts are dirty
If you are connecting the camera by a USB cable, two possible reasons the pictures are not transferring are
+
* The USB cable is not properly connected
* The connections are blocked by debris
Some solutions for the SD card problem are

* Ensure the SD card is inserted properly. Depending on your reader a portion may still be exposed
* Clean the SD card contacts by gentle cleaning them with a small amount of rubbing alcohol
