Lina Kang, what broke is the digitizer. The digitizer and LCD are fused together. Unless you have an LCD separator machine, a bunch of (L)OCA and some sort of curing station, I suggest that you purchase the complete assembly. Follow [guide|28952|this guide] for your repair.
