Background and Information
The PowerShot SX150 IS is part of the Canon PowerShot SX series, released in August of 2011. It can be identified by the name PowerShot SX150 IS printed vertically on the left hand side of the front of the camera. The IS in the name is colored red. The camera comes in black or red.
While this is a high zoom camera, it is designed to be more compact then the typical high zoom camera. Another feature of this camera that makes it unique is the optics are better then a lot of point and shoot cameras. Like many AA Canon cameras, these should not be used with Alkaline batteries due to poor runtime. If possible, stick to high capacity NiMh or Primary Lithium.
This camera offers 12x optical zoom and also offers digital zoom and a built-in flash. This camera also has some built-in filters (fish-eye, color accents, monochrome and more). It also features basic editing tools (i-Contrast, Red eye correction, Trim, Resize) that do not require a PC to use.
