Horizontal lines on the screen
I have a an original 1989 Gameboy that has horizontal lines and I just wanted to know the most common fix iv seen some videos of vertical line fix just not horizontal lines fix please help

Hi!
Yes, the vertical lines can be fixed with a soldering iron (heating the lower side of the screen).
But, unfortunately this cannot be done for horizontal lines…
I’m afraid you need to replace the screen. This won’t be easy as soldering is required.

Also another option is to replace the complete board and screen with an IPS kit. This requires no soldering, but could be more expensive.
Replacing it for an IPS one is the one I recommend!

I wanted to keep it as original as possible so I might not buy ips screen but thank you for you answer I appreciate your help
