MacBook Battery Connector Socket/Bracket Broken

hey guys, after i was trying to plug the ribbon battery flex cable back in, i accidentally broke off the bracket and now i don’t know what to do, i want to know if i can still use the mac without this part or like any solutions to fix it. please help, thanks

Ummm... you probably need that part. But only probably. I have no idea where that connector leads (but did you say it lead to the battery?), but knowing Apple's design standards, it probably wouldn't be there if it didn't do something that the computer needs to function. If you really wanted to find out, you could try plugging all the connectors back in and turning the computer on and testing all the functions to find out what it does, if anything. ...Just be careful if you try this. Don't short anything out!

Sadly, that's the one cable you will have a very hard time finding as it's part of the logic board. Someone who repairs MacBook logic boards maybe able to transfer from a junker a replacement cable. The source I had found last year has disappeared when I needed one.

@omar92016 - Good find! Yes that what's needed. You'll need a hot air rework station to re-solder it on. It's not easy as you need a fair amount of heat and some pressure after you tin the pads on both sides just enough not to short across.
