My camera does not turn on
Hello, I’m Chris. My Canon 40D is not powering on except for the print share button that illuminates blue. I have changed both batteries CR 2016 as well as the main battery. I am at a complete loss please help.

Does the rear screen alter its color slightly when you turn the camera on?
You might want to take a fresh pink pencil eraser (still soft) carefully wiping the battery contacts both the battery and socket contacts. If I remember correctly you can also power the camera externally via a special cable, does that work?
