Touch screen connector broken when changing screen

Hi, when replacing the glass touch screen the connector broke that attaches the glass touch screen to the motherboard. Is there any way to attach the touch screen or do i need a new mother board?

If i try and move the connector until it makes a good connection, does the device need to reboot completly to detect the touch screen?

Is the ribbon cable soldered to the motherboard? If it's connected via other methods, you could try and get a new ribbon cable.

Another option would be scratching the coating on the pads of the ribbon cable and using a very fine gauge cable to micro solder the connections together.
