Lens will not retract
I now get a message ‘System Error’ (Zoom) when I turn it on. Is this an easy fix?

@camera56 easy? That is a depends. For some tips and tricks to try and repair it use the ideas on here If those do not work then you most likely will have to replace the lens. That’s the part that is not so easy but absolutely doable. Here is the guide for that Panasonic Lumix ZS50 レンズアセンブリの交換
