How to place sim cards
I have bought a straight talk sim card. When I want to put it in the phone, do I have to sit the card on the slot beneath the battery?

No, you don't. However, you have to slide your sim card underneath into the slot.

This is not repair related. This could easily be resolved by reading the user manual. I do recognize that this is part of your assignment, but I am certain you still should present a repair related question.
