Can I RMA it?
Even if it got damaged by my own fault? I'm guessing not, but double-checking here just in case.

You can but it may not be covered under warranty. I bought mine off of Ebay before it was released in North America. Although the camera stopped working before the year warranty was up...my warranty is limited to the country it was released. So since I'm not in China it wasn't covered by the return station in Canada.

I tried to RMA mine due to a faulty digitizer. I've only had mine for 6 months. They advised me because it was dropped at one point or another (even though the phone had not been damaged in the least bit physically) they were not able to RMA the phone.

it was out of warranty?
It was not out of warranty at all. It was maybe 6 months into its 1 year warranty..... Asus just found every reason in the book to not RMA the device. I just will have to stay away from Asus since they do not stand behind their products
