I have the same problem with my Alcatel Phone

Same problem with my samsung. Put all apps to sleep, rebooted my phone, checked to see if any apps were draining my battery more then usual but no

さんによる

I have the same problem with my Neffos Lite phone that has 1gb ram and 1gb memory.

さんによる

my moto m has the same problem. i had it for 1 year now and it barely charges. i need to push the cable before it charges, but i dont want to keep it like that always, so i put the cable between the radiator. today, though, when i blugged it in, it had 47% of battery, but after 15 minutes it had only about 25 and i hadnt been using it at all! i have a solution which may help. erase all "recent apps", but its brightness all the way down and hope it will charge. if anyone has any other solution, outside of buing a new phone (which i plan to be the honor 9x), please comment here!!!

My suggestion is similar but a couple of other things you could try is

1) Airplane mode if you are 20% or below. You shouldn't have to be without communication and still have your phone on.

2) Clear your recent apps by holding the HOME button and clear then all.

3) Navigate to your data settings and press the menu button (it's left of the home button on the S4) and choose to turn off background running apps. This will make all of the apps that remain active even when you don't use your phone to stop draining your battery. BUT DON'T FORGET TO TURN THEM BACK ON once you have a sufficient amount of battery life

4) Data network uses more battery than WiFi so if you have access to WiFi use it and turn off your data. Don't worry you'll still be able to make and receive your calls, text, etc.

5) You can also try booting up in recovery or safe mode. Shut off your phone and... Actually Google that part and enter your model and make of your phone to get the accurate instructions on how to do it correctly.

6) Last under the absolute worst case scenario that none of the other steps have seem to work for you. Before buying a new battery or phone you could do a factory reset. This will delete all apps that aren't one of your pre-installed apps. Don't worry, you can back up everything first through Google by syncing your phone it will save all of your data. ALL of your data basically. Also you can backup with your Samsung account. Once you get that done simply shut off and when you power on press the volume down and power buttons at the same time until you see the android robot screen and choose WIPE PHONE. Confirm your decision and give it a few minutes to do its job and it'll restart automatically and begin to restore your phone if you are connected to WiFi. But don't do that yet. Let your phone completely charge normal with all of your usual settings going. This will let you see that it was clearly an app draining your battery or if indeed your battery is shot.

Best of luck. If this doesn't work then you did it wrong lol

My Motto 5 started shutting down when I unplugged it. I had two cords and two plugs but could not localize it to either. Then, I was driving with the phone plugged in and I noticed it was losing charge by the second. I plugged it in the house and it was doing the same thing. I shut it off and it charged fine. When not charging, I think it was OK. I noticed the internal memory was very low – maybe 2%. I moved various things to the SD card and eliminated several apps that I do not use. This brought the memory to about 10%. More importantly, the phone was now charging in car and house and not shutting down when unplugged. My friend told me it was one of the apps – malicious. He told me if I had gone to battery and looked to see which app was draining a real lot of charge, I would have caught it. I think he is correct and this is the first thing to do in such a case.

It would be better to start into safe mode and see if it charges, it has the same effect.

さんによる

Could it be so, if you overheat your phone, phone is draining while charging?

さんによる

for the user to access safe mode, they need to hold down the lock/power button for a few seconds until they see the power options settings.

hold down "power off" for a few seconds. they should see a dialog box "Reboot into safe mode", tap OK and let the phone boot into safe mode.

⚠️Safe Mode does not allow other 3rd party apps to run, so please keep this in mind if you're gonna use Safe Mode for anything else but troubleshoot. 3rd party apps WILL NOT work.

I Think Theres A App That Drain Your Phone So I Want You To Use Clean Master Or A Task Manager Or Just Hold Your Home Button And Remove Your App Session It Will Close Your App.

To Charge Your Phone Faster Do This: 1. Do Safe Mode And Charge It. It May Charge Your Phone Faster

2: Do Airplane Mode. It May Charge Your Phone Fast

Do not use cleaning apps. They can cause the problem

さんによる

Pl. check the voltage of your charger; if low then it will reverse the charging, if it is hitting the mobile more, then use a lower voltage charger, this should solve your problem. use other tips mentioned

herein above.

ive fixed a few phones with this issue. it is usually the following. (most times its not software, but sometimes it is, so i would suggest a factory reset before spending any kind of money)

Lithium batteries ARE Consumable. This means they will go bad over time. usually starts after about 300-400 charge cycles. Replacing the battery fixes the problem about 80% of the time for my store

the other 20% is usually that the Charge port is causing the issue. the charge port reads that the cord is present, but will not pull the current into the phone. In which case, replacing the port will fix the issue.

now a minimal% of the time, there canbe a board level failure. in which case, it would be more expensive to repair, than to buy a new phone.

Hi there is a fault with the battery or charger so i suggest you start by replacing the charger and see if it makes a difference and if doesn’t replace the battery .

I changed the charger and its not working so i bought a new battery for my phone. I also did a factory reset too. Now it works better because i have no more lag

Do not try and fix a phone by throwing parts at it first. Especially when you don't know what's wrong with it. My wife decided to skip troubleshooting and buy a charger, problem continues so she bought a battery that I had to install cause it's internal.... problem continues.... moral of the story is she wasted money by just buying parts that aren't the underlying problem... can't downvote this dumb answer but atleast I can comment on it....

My head is spinning and my lg v20 can't decide what percentage to land on. Becoming increasingly P'd off! I know my storage is near maxed and I just got done removing a bunch of video n images to the SD card, and near right after, the battery on charge dropped big-time, told me the charge was slow…yet no matter the options tried this thing is hanging on around 60. Would be nice if I could quickly do a back-up of everything and then do the reset and load the v20 again but not so simple if you have my fried egg noodle brain. ???

After 14 yrs experience w/several different phones, i'm pretty sure the problem is usually due to 1 of 2 things.

1) Usually it's the CABLE! For me, replacing the old cable w/a new one seemed to always fix it. Old/cheap cables don't just 'break'. Some of the individual wires begin to break over time, restricting the electricity flow.

2) Old chargers or USB ports w/low-voltage/Amp output charge really slow compared to modern chargers & USB standards.

3) Regardless of the cause, you'll get better/quicker results if you limit the number of things running on the phone in the background as you charge. The last person's suggestion of resetting the phone could help, but beware of losing settings &/or data that you might want to document or backup first.

By the way... i don't know if this is permitted here or not. If not, hopefully they'll just edit-out this paragraph rather than not-post my whole message. Regarding good quality cables and charging banks, check out MagFast. https://magfast.kckb.st/69f0242f

While i havent solved this issue with my LG V20 on Android 7, i have gathered some interesting data points. When the condition ocurrs, 2 of the 4 cores are static above 1.0 GHz, while the other 2 fluctuate as they all 4 should be. A battery app shows a very low mA charge rate 100 or even negative rates. After a reboot, all 4 cores are back to dynamic fluctuating. The battery app now shows 600 to 900 mA charging. Also worth mentioning, the play store begins updating apps right after the reboot. So either there was a process out there nailing up 2 cores preventing the play store updates from running or the play store service itself could be suspect. Next steps is now to find a cpu core app that shows what threads and app are running during the event.

This problem has of occurred with my phone to.

This is a simple fix 80 percent of the time it's just the cable of the charger has a fault or is dirty in the phone charge socket or wall socket. Which can be cleaned with an ear bud or tooth pick. If the wire of the charger has a fault just have it replaced with a brand new one or a spare (if you have one). The other 20 percent of the time it's the storage on your phone which can drain battery power. The best way to see what's draining it is to get this recommended app called cleaner. This will show the drainage on your battery power. Finnaly the last thing to do with this 20 percent of the time is in the settings go on to developer settings and put change the SUB to charge only at socket. Simple right.
