This troubleshooting page will help you diagnose problems with the Dell Inspiron 13-7378.

Laptop Loads Slowly

If your Dell Inspiron 13-7378 takes a long time to load simple tasks such as web pages or word documents, it may be due to to multiple internal factors such as the RAM , power supply, or CPU. If the browser(s) take a large amount of time loading it may be wise to power off and then power on the device and see if there is a change in the loading time, and if there is no change then it might be an issue caused by the RAM.

Low RAM

A reason why the Dell Inspiron 13-7378 could be slowing down it might be an issue with the ram. and if so you might need to either figure out what system or apps are consuming the most RAM, and if deleting apps is not working then the ssolution might be to add more RAM.

Overheating CPU

Another issue for the Dell Inspiron 13-7378 might be an overheating CPU. The solution to this issue would be to replace the CPU's cooling system.

Laptop Powers off Quickly

The battery of your Dell Inspiron 13-7378 shuts off the laptop after only using it for a short amount of time it may be due to a faulty battery.

Bad Battery

If the adapter is plugged in, and the light on the adapter is on, make sure the adapter is connected to the laptop. If the laptop only powers up when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of charging time, then the battery could be faulty, and you may need to replace it.

Wi-Fi Connection Complications

A faulty Wi-Fi connection in the Dell Inspiron 13-7378 could prevent the device from completing necessary task needed by either the user or the device itself.

Airplane Mode

If your Dell Inspiron 13-7378 refuses to connect to the Wi-Fi network, it may be because Airplane Mode is on. Check to make sure that Airplane Mode is turned off. If it is off and you’re still not connected you might want to try going to Wi-Fi settings and manage you Wi-Fi connections by connecting and disconnecting to the network.

Faulty Wi-Fi Card

If the Dell Inspiron 13-7378 is still not connecting, you might have a faulty Wi-Fi Card. The Wi-Fi card is a small card inside of your laptop that allows the user to connect to the internet. If the card is faulty then it would be reasonable to either buy a wireless network adapter or remove and replace the Wi-Fi card.

Device is Overheating

If the Dell Inspiron 13-7378 randomly slows down or shuts down it might be due to overheating . Overheating can cause damage to the processors and the hard drive and even shut down your computer without warning. It is recommended that for the Inspiron 13-7378 to be retrofitted with a fan that can cool down the system to prevent it form overheating and damaging internal components thus expanding the life span of the device.

Broken Fan

Computers can overheat when the fan isn’t working properly. A fan helps the system cooldown and prevents it from over heating thus it is an absolutely critical part of maintaining the longevity of the deice, but like all hardware it can also fail and cause serious problems. The solution to this is either to replace it with a new fan or install a better cooling system (such as a liquid cooling system or an external fan).
