iFixit.com - the key for SUCCESS

問題

So... A little accident happened to my MacBook. It fell. The LCD broke and there was hardly any hope that the system will work again. I tried to connect my Mac to an external monitor but I had no luck with it.

So finally I decided that I will order a new LCD and will change it with the help of the cool guys at ifixit.com.

So I ordered the LCD. I always hated that my Mac's screen reflects everything... So I ordered the Anti-Glare type which was just a little more expensive.

The guys at ifixit sent my pack on Friday and I got the pack on Tuesday in Europe, Hungary. So shipping was super-fast. Never ever had anything so quickly in my mailbox from the US. :-)

I packed out everything. The box was nicely packed they do pay attention to every details.

The repair was about 10 minutes time including packing and everything. The final stage (connecting the display-cable) was not so difficult for me that others mentioned.

Then I switched my MAC... And it worked again :-) I love this new super LCD. Worth every penny :))

If you have any problems with your screen order a new and replace at home. Its not so difficult. I asked an expert at a local Apple Retailer and they told me that the LCD repair would be 550 USD. No way...

iFixit guys was really helpful they helped me by email and answered my questions quickly.
