はじめに

If your laptop won't boot or is overheating, you may want to clean or replace your fan, which is located at one corner of the motherboard, next to the heat sink assembly and exhaust vent.

Caution - make sure your laptop is unplugged and powered off before beginning.

手順1 Battery

Flip the laptop so the bottom is facing up.
Use a JIS J1 screwdriver to remove eight 6 mm screws from the bottom of the laptop case.
Use a Torx T9 screwdriver to remove the single 6 mm screw.

Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry the bottom case.
Insert the end of the opening tool into the seam between the bottom and top case and slide it around the perimeter to release the clips.
Remove the bottom cover.

Use a JIS J1 screwdriver to remove the seven 6 mm screws securing the battery.
Lift the battery from the bottom edge and slide it out of the socket on the motherboard.

Loosen the four JIS J1 captive screws on the hard drive tray.
Use the black tab on the hard drive tray and pull it toward the bottom of the laptop to remove the drive.

Use the JIS J1 screwdriver to remove the four 3.0 mm screws on the sides of the hard drive tray—two from each side.
Remove the old hard drive from the tray.

Pull the disc drive out and set it aside.

Slide a thin spudger or angled tweezers under the metal neck of the connector (as close to the head as possible) and lift straight up from the Wireless WLAN card.
Pull straight up on the black tab to disconnect the display cable.

Use a JIS J1 screwdriver to remove the two 5 mm silver screws securing the hinge covers.
Turn the laptop over and open the top cover.
Use an opening tool to gently pry the plastic hinge covers off both hinges.
Lift the keyboard and pull it gently toward you to remove it from the laptop.

Turn the keyboard assembly over so the motherboard is facing up.
Gently pull the metal retaining clips away from the RAM module.
The RAM module will pop up at an angle.
Pull the RAM card out of its slot and replace with a new one.
When replacing the RAM, slide it in at the same angle it was removed, making sure the metal teeth are aligned with the slot. Push down until it snaps into place between the metal arms.

Use the point of a spudger to push on alternating sides of the fan connector to "walk" it out of its socket.
It may take a lot of alternating before the connector comes out. Be patient, and don't pull on the cables.
If that doesn't work, use a pair of tweezers to firmly grip the sides of the connector and pull straight away from the socket. Hold the tweezers closer to the connector to get a better grip.
Use a JIS J1 screwdriver to loosen the six captive screws securing the fan and heat sink assembly.
