Background
The Treblab HD77 is a bluetooth speaker from Treblab. Treblab was founded in 2015 by Alexander Malamud and is an American based company that specializes in creating high quality, low cost wireless audio devices. The Treblab HD77 was created as a successor to their HD7 model, and has higher sound quality, longer lasting battery life, and other features such as 360 degree high definition audio.
The speaker was initially introduced as a durable but lightweight speaker designed for casual outdoor usage. At its release, the speaker utilized bluetooth 4.2 to be able to connect to the users mobile device and had a water resistance rating of IPX6. Updated models were introduced in early 2021, and now were given bluetooth 5.0 which provides greater range bluetooth range, quality of audio and battery efficiency. These newer models also received a water resistance rating of IPX7 and as a result the speaker is now more capable of handling rough weather conditions. Some users have stated that the speaker tends to distort audio at high volumes which may be problematic, especially seeing as the speaker is designed for outdoor use which may call for higher volume levels. Despite this, the speaker holds a 4.5 star rating on Amazon, 7 years after its release.
Identification
The Treblab HD77 speaker has a cylindrical body with a flat base. The model number for this device is HD77 and can be found at the base of the device along with a charging port and an AUX port. Opposite the flat base, there are four buttons that control the volume, power, and pause/play. On either side of the device there are LEDs and small metal plates with a circular design on them. You can also find a small Treblab logo near the base of the device.
