The Vaio SVE15112FXS model was launched by Sony in 2012 as part of the E Series. This specific device has a matte silver finish and can be identified by the Vaio logo on the front, and the model number on the back.
According to Sony, compared to earlier models, this device has more storage and memory space, a larger touchpad for scrolling, and a backlit keyboard for night use. The SVE15112FXS model also has a 15.5” screen, Intel® Core i3 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 640GB hard drive, 3 USB ports, and is WiFi and Bluetooth enabled.
The laptop operates using Windows 7, but the user is able to make various upgrades to newer operating systems as well as increased memory or storage space. This model also comes pre-installed with two software programs: PlayMemories Home™, for photo storage and editing and Sony Imagination Studio™, for video and music creation. This device has been replaced with newer models since 2012, but continues to be a popular purchase for consumers.
