Background and Identification
The Sony SRS-X5 is a 20 W, 2.1 channel, portable speaker system released in 2014. Featuring Bluetooth compatibility, it allows you to stream your favorite music from any smart phone or tablet. The X5 also includes a built in calling feature, which lets the user make hands free phone calls with the built in microphone and speaker. The battery is rated at 8 hours. The device has a nice sleek black design with touch sensitive buttons.
The X5 is slightly smaller than X 7 and X9, and it is the only model of the three to offer bluetooth phone calls. It has fewer ports on the back, with only the charging, audio in, and USB ports. The model number is printed on the bottom of the device, next to the rubber feet.
