Background
The LG G2 is a popular touchscreen Android smartphone released on September 2013. It was the replacement for the 2012 Optimus G and the 2013 Optimus G Pro “Phablet”. It was well received by the public, and its initial sales exceeded projections. The smartphone was innovative in comparison to its predecessors in terms of battery capacity of 3000mAh, a 5.2 inch 1080p HD IPS Display, and a 13 MP High Resolution (OIS) camera.
The phone got mostly positive reviews because of its elegant design, longer lasting battery, higher quality audio and the high definition display. The rear power and volume button placement is a unique physical attribute that stands out amongst other smart phones. The phone features a micro USB charger port. An often criticized aspect of the smartphone was the transition to a plastic chassis, from the glass chassis which was typical in previous models.

The Sprint model of this phone is the LS 980, found on the inside rear cover.
