Background and Identification
The Spectre x360 Convertible 15 is a tablet/laptop hybrid from HP, released in 2020. This edition of the Spectre Convertible is both smaller and lighter than its previous iteration. This device folds in half at the hinge, turning the keyboard into a stand to set the tablet against when using the touch screen. Users can also fold the device completely in half so that the keyboard is on the underside and the laptop behaves like a tablet.
The unmarked power button for the device is located on the left corner of the keyboard section. Below the power button, this device includes a power jack, an audio jack, and an HDMI port. On the other side of the laptop are two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a micro SD slot, and a “webcam kill switch.”
Dimensions and battery claims vary depending on the make of your “Spectre Convertible.” A serial number located on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop can help identify the device’s specific model.
The chassis is not unibody, meaning there are small gaps between the two components. This gap can make it easier to repair the laptop. Both the chassis and the lid are made of aluminum.
It has an Intel Core i7 “Comet Lake” H-series processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX-class graphics card. There are lower-end processor options also available. The HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15 laptop is sold in various colors.
