Background and Identification
The Gateway LT4004u is a small laptop used for a variety of needs, including office and school-related tasks. The laptop, however, is not built for high-performance gaming. Released in 2012, it could be bought in a variety of colors and is identified by a silver 2-inch strip with the “Gateway” logo on the cover. This strip is oriented so that, when flipped up, it faces away from the user so that an observer could read it. In the upright position, it is located on the right of the device, a third of the way down the back of the screen. The cover has a pattern of light solid and dotted lines that can be seen in all colors.
The LT4004u has a 10.1 by 7.3-inch LCD display and a thickness of 1 inch. Its small size allows for easy transportation and use in confined spaces. The laptop weighs 2.56 pounds. It has 1GB of memory, but can store 250GB on a hard disk drive. This Gateway model features a backlit keyboard and a memory card reader, but does not have a built-in CD drive. It has a battery life of 8 hours, but a small 1MB atom processor.
